Planning by George

Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to find our blog and see how we're getting on with our planning!

Firstly I'd just like to echo what Esme wrote below by saying thank you to everyone that came to our leaving party! It was a truly epic night and the perfect send off :D

I've got my last day at work tomorrow and then the rest of the week fully devoted to getting the last little items crossed off my list, seeing my family and packing. It still hasn't properly sunk in that we'll be flying to Hawaii in a weeks time! I think I'll gradually get more and more excited and in the mood throughout the week, but it won't properly hit me until we touch down in Honolulu and take our first plunge into the pacific ocean. But we shall see!

One week to go!

With only one week until me and George leave this wet and grey country for three months, we have a lot of planning to do!
Getting into the country is a pain, with all the VWP and ESTA forms to read through. But I think I've finally got my head around it! Still need to buy some summer clothes and check I have enough room in my rucksack for everything.....

On Saturday night we had a leaving party with all out friends. It got pretty hectic! We played beer pong and dressed up in American themed fancy dress. It was so much fun :)

There is of course a huuuuge part of me which is desperate to go and explore the world and have an adventure, but there is still a small part of me that wants to stay and be with my family and friends! I'll miss my cat and my bedroom loads!


Anyway, I'm sure George will write something soon. The next post will most likely be from an internet cafe in sunny Honolulu! eeeee so excited! :D
